General

All ages and skill levels are welcome at the club.

Juniors can start as young as 5 or 6 years old depending on their physical strength and attention span. Junior divisions are: U12 Coed, U14, U16 and U18.

Seniors are 18+ with some exceptions for high performance athletes 15+.

Our membership is made up of:

  • junior and adult beginners who have come out to try something new
  • high school and university players
  • provincial players
  • former/current international players

New members to our club are often returning after a few years off – don’t worry, it won’t take long to get back into it!

Yes. At the beginning of the season all registered participants will receive a survey to indicate which tournaments they are available for. Based on availability, we can enter between 4-6 tournaments a summer, and 2-3 tournaments for indoor.

Typically we practice on Wednesday or Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. You can find the specific dates and times for the current season on the registration pages for each group. Locations for Outdoor and Indoor facilities can be found on the CONTACT PAGE.

UNIFORMS

Toronto United Field Hockey Club wears black and light blue. You will need black shorts/skirt/skort and both black and light blue socks.

Yes – you can visit the shop and place your order. We order in batches a few times a year so please take note of the order timelines in the shop. You will be contacted to confirm a jersey number based on what is available.

EQUIPMENT

Outdoor Field Hockey:

  • Outdoor Stick
  • Shinpads
  • Turf Shoes
  • Left hand glove (optional)
  • Mouthguard

Indoor Field Hockey:

  • Indoor stick (U12 can use outdoor)
  • Shinpads
  • Court Shoes or running shoes for juniors
  • Left hand glove (highly recommended)
  • Mouthguard

PAYMENTS

We accept all season registrations by credit card through our online registration system TeamLinkt. If you need to arrange a different method of payment, please contact us directly.

All new members are welcome to come to one session for free to try it out. After that session, you will need to register. We only give refunds for extenuating circumstances.
